September Start Up: Wellness Toolkit

September can be a busy time of year, as we return from relaxing Summer days to the start of a new semester.  Changes in our day can feel stressful as we settle into our new routines and your Healthy Workplace Committee wants to support you with the below September Start Up: Wellness Toolkit that is updated annually.

New for September

Move over October: Physical Activity Challenge

Feedback from the Every Day in May Health Challenge indicated a desire for more initiatives that would motivate the university community to focus on embedding healthy habits into their day and do so in a team format.  In response, the Healthy Workplace Committee is excited to launch Move over October: Physical Activity Challenge!  Together, our goal will be to travel across Canada with prizes for individuals and teams.

How it works:

Revamped Wellness at Work webpages

We've redesigned our webpages to make it easier to connect you with the resources and supports you're looking for.  Here's what's new:

Note: Please remember to update your bookmarks, as the location of our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) webpage has changed.

First Aid and Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

The First Aid and Automated Exernal Defibrillators (AED)s webpage is intended to increase awareness of the Emergency Health Safety Stations as locations to find first aid equipment, including AEDs, on campus, provide videos showing how to use an AED, and other helpful resources. Please familiarize yourself with the location of your closest Emergency Health safety station and other throughout campus.
