Future Ready! AI champions

Artificial intelligence is evolving rapidly and learning how to use it responsibly is an ongoing journey. The Future Ready! AI champions network is a community of employees who help colleagues share ideas and learn together.

AI Champions are not technical experts or help desk staff. They are curious, approachable colleagues who enjoy learning, sharing resources, facilitating conversations and connecting others with the support they need.

  • What is an AI Champion?

    AI Champions help extend learning beyond formal training by:

    • Sharing resources, tips and practical examples
    • Encouraging discussion and knowledge sharing
    • Promoting responsible AI practices
    • Connecting employees with experts and support services
    • Gathering feedback, questions, and ideas from colleagues

    Champions serve as a bridge between employees and the Future Ready! program, creating a valuable two-way feedback channel that helps ensure learning remains relevant.

    Throughout the year, the network will offer opportunities to learn, connect and share through:

    • AI tips and prompts of the month
    • Ask the expert sessions
    • AI in action stories and spotlights
    • Community discussions and knowledge sharing
    • Emerging trends and innovation showcases

    The champions network will shape these initiatives and assist to engage their colleagues.

  • Who Can Join?

    You do not need advanced AI knowledge to become a champion.

    Great champions are employees who:

    • Enjoy helping others learn or connect to resources
    • Are curious and open to new ideas
    • Communicate clearly and respectfully
    • Value responsible and ethical AI use
    • Want to contribute to a culture of continuous learning

    Employees from all areas of the university are welcome to participate.
