Sexual violence response and prevention
Ontario Tech University takes very seriously the safety and well-being of its students, faculty, staff and other members of our campus community. We strive to be a place where people are able to study, work, connect and grow personally and intellectually without fear of violence or harassment of any kind.
As employees of this university, it is our responsibility to be aware of the policies and procedures that govern behaviour and conduct here at the university. Our compliance with these policies and procedures helps support a culture where sexual harassment and sexual violence are not acceptable or tolerated. If you or someone you know has experienced sexual violence, please make full use of the links and information provided here for assistance.
Completion of the training module in the Preventing Sexual Violence - Building a Respectful Campus Together section of this website supports the university’s ongoing efforts to oppose all forms of sexual violence on our campus.
As a campus community, we come together to learn, teach and serve this university. We care for one another as colleagues and as human beings. In our own special way, we are invested in making our university a safe, welcoming and positive place. As we become a more sticky and welcoming campus, we must also not shirk our responsibility to end workplace sexual violence in our community.
