Manager, Pension, Benefits and Wellness

  • Responsible for the pension, benefits and wellness programs for all faculty and staff.
  • Serves as the client service relationship manager and negotiates contracts for external pension, benefits and disability management providers.
  • Responsible for compliance of the benefit programs, including the governance of the University’s pension plan and the Supplemental Retirement Arrangement (SRA).
  • Responsible for development and execution of the University’s Pension Education Strategy and provides consultation with respect to retirement options and the SRA.
  • Supports and leads various committees including the Pension and Benefits Committee, Senior Administration Sub-Committee of the Pension & Benefits Committee, and the Healthy Workplace Committee.

Pension and Benefits Administrator

  • Enrolls and educates all eligible new employees in the pension and benefits programs.
  • Prepares documentation and updates for onboarding, offboarding and leaves (e.g. parental leaves).
  • Administers Staff and Dependant tuition programs for eligible programs
  • Co-ordinates benefits, pension and wellness initiatives.
  • Responds to employee inquiries related to pension and benefits.
